Transportation options
By rail: Passengers wishing to reach the Amtrak Union Station at 1001 Loyola Avenue should use bus or taxi services, as Amtrak does not provide a shuttle.

By taxi: Taxis are available on the lower level outside baggage reclaim. The Airport Shuttle (tel: 504 522 3500) operates from the airport to the hotels in the central business district; the ticket office can be found on the lower level in the baggage reclaim area. Limousines are also available. Airport Limousine Service provides luxury transport from the airport to the central business district and the French Quarter; information desks are available on the lower level baggage reclaim areas.

By bus: Jefferson Transit provides public buses to areas in the local district; the Greyhound Bus departure point is also situated on the upper level outside entrance 7. Coastliner runs shuttles to destinations on the Mississippi coast.
